What we do

Emunah provides diverse, life changing services and programmes, helping Israel’s most vulnerable to break the cycle of dysfunction and build their own rewarding and stable lives and families.

Our aim is to enhance and enrich the lives of those in our care and provide them with the tools to break the cycle of neglect, abuse, violence they may have experienced and help them realise their full potential and become well balanced, independent contributing members of society.

Emunah provide life changing services to help and support the most vulnerable children and families to break the cycle of distress, neglect, abuse and violence.  Giving them the tools in building resilience, empowerment and understand how to embrace family life.

The Hebrew word Emunah means faithfulness, fidelity, loyalty, not walking away even when the going gets tough, trusting the other and honouring the other’s trust in us. That is what Emunah provides, each and every day, for thousands of disadvantaged children and families across Israel

Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks z’l

Many of the children supported by Emunah are classified as ‘at-risk’, coming from both Israel and having emigrated from Ethiopia and former Soviet Union. Sadly, these children may have experienced serious neglect, instability and abuse in their short lives, often at the hands of the people who were supposed to nurture and care for them, their own parents.

Emunah has overseen the improved well-being of many children under their care and shows how working with the children, and where appropriate the whole family, can lead to a flourishing future. Emunah can help break the cycles of neglect and poverty so that the children we care for may go on to live happy and successful lives.
